Site Down Due to Non-Payment
This site will temporarily be "non-active" due to failure of payment.
-Webmaster
The following day, 2/22/09, on Gawker.com an announcement was made:
Real Housewives Star Loses Her Blog
Owen Thomas
Kim Zolciak, the home wrecking, fake-cancer-surviving star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has lost control of her blog to a surly "webmaster" demanding payment — according to someone at her (former?) PR firm.
Whether he really was surly or just wanted to be paid makes little difference now since shortly thereafter, this site disappeared from the Internet. But don't fear, Kim& Zolciak fans, her posts started up shortly on another website. Go to: kimzolciak.com/blog to read about what Kim Zolciak is now up to.
But for all you super loyal fans, we were able to restore this historic site with some archived content thanks to the Web Archive Project. They award grants to preserve culturally significant websites and keep them live. That certainly matches the description of this newly preserved legacy website which has withstood all the scandals and fun that is Kim. Thanks to the SEO gurus of TNG/Earthling Rev Sale (who is a huge Kim fan) and Bob Sakayama who provided the technical expertise for both development and optimization of this restoration. TNG/E also contributed the cms supporting the site.
I am a big fan of Kim Zolciak, so like thousands of others I was dismayed first with the notice and then the disappearance of this site. Recently I discovered this restored version, and while it may not have Kim's full attention, it's still a great record of her contribution to our culture.
My attitude is that you can never have too many Kim Zolciak blog sites. So let's take a stroll back to early 2009 for just a glimpse of the blonde bombshell and what she was up to.
The other day my neighbor dropped by while I was filling out the form on the site where I order eyeglass lenses replacement for both my regular glasses and my prescription sunglasses. Eyeglasses.com is a great site and makes getting new eyeglass lenses, whether the lenses are scratched or you have a new prescription, a breeze. My neighbor was intrigued and wanted to know what type of lenses could they make. So I gave her a little infomercial with my radio announcer's voice: "We offer all kinds of replacement lenses, including single vision, progressive, bifocal, and trifocal. Our replacement lens materials run the gamut from plastic and polycarbonate, to high index, Trivex and even glass. You can also order replacement prescription sunglass lenses with custom tint, Transitions technology, polarized, and/or mirror coated lenses. All of our replacement lenses come with a “Perfect Lenses Guarantee” so if they do not work for you, we will redo them or refund you in full." She was intrigued and said she would check them out. Hey, I should get a commission!
Once my little stunt was over I asked, "Have you heard what Kim (Zolcia) is up to now?"..........

A Shout Out from The View
Thank you to Bonnie Hunt for always bringing attention to my antics. I love the lady and hey it is better to be talked about than not be talked of at all.
See what they had to say about me, after the uncomfortable Barbara Walters & Bonnie Hunt scene...

Interview With the Sunday Paper
The conspicuous consumption, the rampant egos, the backstabbing—what’s not to love/hate? The Bravo network struck gold last fall with this reality series following the lives of five nouveau-riche divas, and struck a nerve with Atlantans, who were vocal in their disdain but unable to stop watching. (Metro residents can take some measure of solace in the fact that the so-called “housewives” live not in Atlanta but its prosperous northern suburbs.) And while NeNe Leakes was arguably the show’s breakout star, its lightning rod has been Kim Zolciak, whose shifting loyalties, country-music aspirations and mysterious sugar daddy elevated her above Britney, Jamie Lynn and Jessica in the pantheon of “hot mess” icons.—K.F.M.
Q What would you say is people’s biggest misconception about you from the show?
A That I’m a gold-digger, and that I’m not a friend. I think they saw me bouncing from NeNe [Leakes] to Sheree [Whitfield]. NeNe and I have reconciled, we’ve talked about everything, we’re great friends, so maybe in the second season they may see me and NeNe back together. I think they see a different image of my real character.
Q What’s going on with your music?
A I’m working with a bunch of new people, which is very exciting but very, very stressful. I kind of knew Dallas Austin a little bit before I started to work with him, so it was a little easier. Now I’m working with all-new people and hopefully, I think we’re going to end up recording [during the] second season, and I think it’ll probably be out in the fall. Summertime, fall, when the season airs. I’ll be able to record on the show and then release it beforehand.
Q Any names we might know, people you’re working with?
A You’ll definitely know who I’m working with. But my contract’s a little tight right now so we’re negotiating that and when that contract’s signed and over and done with, then I’ll definitely blast who I’m working with.

Q How has your life changed because of the show?
A My life has completely changed in a very short period of time. My relationship has suffered, you know with Big Poppa. It’s been very difficult. You go from having a private life to all of a sudden, it’s all over. And especially with him being a mystery, or a secret, people have really tried to snap a photo or tried to get him and me together. My children have had a really hard time with people in school, they go to a very strict private school.
You can’t even go to the grocery store, you know? Which is flattering, because without my fans I wouldn’t ever be where I’m at today. But there’s no more going to the grocery store, in and out. Even McDonald’s drive-thrus, you know? People recognize you, they want a picture. But all in all, it’s been a great experience.
Q Can you give us a preview of Season Two?
A I think Season Two’s going to be a lot different. I think we all learned from Season One, the mistakes that we made or we didn’t take it very seriously at times. And I think that when you’re presenting an image to America or you’re doing a reality show you’re going to get tore up, up one side and down the other. I think we’re all going to make changes. A new residence for some. Big Poppa may make an appearance, which is pretty exciting. And I have a big cover shoot that will be on the show. Very big.
Q Can you talk about that yet?
A I can’t talk about it, but it’ll be huge. It is huge. It’s very exciting. It’s something I’ve wanted to do my whole life.
Q You say on the show people don’t necessarily see your true character.
A Was I playing a character? No. All the footage you saw was in essence accurate. However, we filmed for a good four or five months, 12 hours a day, five days a week, and they take all these hours and combine them into seven one-hour episodes. So ultimately they take the worst parts, or the parts that are going to get controversy or what have you, and release that. So they created a character for me. I can’t sing, I’ve got a mystery sugar daddy, I drink, I smoke like crazy, I’m not a good friend—they created a character.
Q Anything you want to clear up for our readers?
A I never drink and drive. Ever. I mean, I have two little girls to live for, and the footage that they showed of that … And I can definitely sing. I think the footage they showed of Dallas and me was horrendous. We were in the studio for many hours that day, and they should have shown me giving it my all and not just really in essence speaking and getting comfortable with the equipment initially. But I’m ready to come back and show them who I am.
Q Are you still in touch with Dallas Austin?
A You know, Dallas spoke out about me on his MySpace page, which was pretty rough. I’m still not sure where that came from. Dallas has always been great to my girls, and I respect him. I’m not really sure. I didn’t reach out to him, and I haven’t, just because it’s been so stressful for me. But the only thing I can come up with is, I was pretty humiliated with the footage, too. And Dallas working with the people that he’s worked with in the past, and seeing that footage, it’s like they made a joke out of Dallas and I. And he was frustrated or humiliated by it. And I think, maybe that’s where the anger came from. I’m not sure why this all went on.

Killer Movie
Hello, I had a photo shoot for the Sunday Paper today, for the cover with local Rock DJ Steve. He and I on the cover will be on stands February 8th. So, check it out. A big thanks to Sheena for doing my makeup, GREAT JOB. Speaking of makeup, I receive a ton of emails about my makeup so I figured I would answer the question whether I do my own makeup or not.
Yes, I usually do my own but for covers, appearances, etc. I use my makeup artist Sheena, from www.atlanta-makeup.com, and she is a doll.
Tomorrow night I am making an appearance at Outwrite Bookstore in Midtown Atlanta around 7:30 PM to support my dear friend Jeff Fisher. Jeff filmed some of the RHOA in the beginning, and he is now releasing his dvd called "Killer Movie." I am honored and excited to have been asked to attend this wonderful event. Jeff is an incredible person and very down to earth. I hope to see so many of you there
Until next time...

Bonnie Hunt - The Full Version Good Morning,
I woke up to Bonnie Hunt doing her parody of me on American Idol. I laughed my butt off. She is hysterical.

I loved the "contact lens comment." Check out the video below:
What a great way to start my day :)
I will sing for the first time on her show if given the opportunity. So stay tuned for that.
I will keep you posted.
I have a busy day ahead so I must go until next time.

Recording...
Good morning!!!
I have received so many emails and comments regarding my single that was due out the first of the year, so I figured I would update you.
My single "Tightrope" is/was owned by Dallas Austin. He apparently felt ill towards me after seeing the show. And I would have to agree that the footage made us both look rather ridiculous.
However, Dallas spoke out in a negative way towards me and obviously I will no longer be working with him. I have since connected with some of the music industry's greats in preparing my first single. I am scheduled to return to the studio with a better focus soon. But, it will most likely be around the time filming starts for Season 2 (next month). So you will likely have to wait to hear the finished product when Season 2 airs sometime this fall.
On a side note, I know what I am capable of and look forward to proving myself. I think America will be surprised with the finished product. How can you not be? After the footage that aired it appeared as though I was incapable of ever having a singing career. You will be pleasantly surprised, I promise...
Lastly, give my hair a rest!!! How many people wear fake hair, hair extensions, clip ins etc??? I LOVE MY HAIR and will continue to wear it and could give two shits with what you all have to say about it. Its fake and it will stay that way and I love it. Period...end of story......
Until next time.............

Thank You Bonnie Hunt
Bonnie Hunt is a fan of mine. She loves poking fun at me.
Previously she did a parody of NeNe and I with Niecy Nash, and now she has attempted to tackle me once again. This time I am auditioning for American Idol.
Hilarious!!! You can catch the full episode next Wednesday on "The Bonnie Hunt Show."
(I am going to make my singing debut on this show sometime soon.)

W Buckhead Grand Opening
Happy TGIF!!!
What an incredible night I had last night at the opening of the W Hotel in Buckhead...
Upon arriving I was rushed to the purple carpet at the front of this gorgeous new hotel where I was asked to take photos with actress Michelle Trachtenberg. (My daughters love her!) Believe it or not, Michelle is actually a fan of the show.
Then Rande Gerber joined the press line along with Thom Filicia. (Is Cindy Crawford lucky or what?)
Before I knew it I had been on the small purple carpet for 15-minutes and was asked to stay a little bit longer to take photos with Sophia Bush and Olivia Palermo.
Just as I was departing the carpet cast mate Sheree arrived and it was off to a few more photos before finally heading inside.
The hotel inside was stunning!!! NeNe even managed to show up. And despite her recently speaking about our supposed 'lack of friendship,' it was like old times.
Overall, I am glad to have met many of you and had been invited to such a fabulous event. I can't wait to start filming Season 2 of RHOA next month.
Check out a video of me from last night on the local WSB-TV .
AND, tonight join me as I will be making an appearance aTaboo2 on Roswell Rd here in Atlanta. I hope all of you in the area can make it.
Back to LALA land I go...

Rumors
There are always going to be rumors about me and my life out there, but this one was simply to ridiculous not to respond to.
Mediatakeout.com is reporting today that Michael Lohan and I are dating. Let me be the first to say this is sooo far from the truth. I have never even met Michael. The only thing we have in common is the same publicist.
Additionally, Michael is a very happily engaged man to his gorgeous fiance Erin. I will be going to Sundance to be part of a celebrity poker tournament that the two will be at, but Michael and I are in no way going together as a couple.
Maybe we will all end up friends, but that would be it! So please don't believe everything you read, unless you see it here first!

Hope your New Year's celebration was just as enjoyable!!!

More Background On KimZolciakOnline.com
KimZolciakOnline.com is an unusual website because it serves two purposes simultaneously. On one level, it functions as an archive of Kim Zolciak's original celebrity blog from the early days of reality television. On another, it has become a digital preservation project, rescuing a website that briefly disappeared from the internet after a payment dispute and making portions of it available once again for fans, researchers, and those interested in internet history.
Although Kim Zolciak later maintained official websites and social media accounts, KimZolciakOnline.com preserves a snapshot of a very specific period in her career: the months immediately following the enormous success of the first season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The archived content provides a firsthand look at celebrity blogging before Instagram, TikTok, and influencer culture transformed how public figures communicated with fans.
Unlike many celebrity websites that disappear forever after being abandoned, KimZolciakOnline.com has been reconstructed using archived materials and historical web captures, giving visitors access to posts that otherwise would likely have been lost.
The Origins of the Website
Kim Zolciak first rose to national prominence in 2008 as one of the original cast members of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The series quickly became one of the network's highest-rated reality programs and helped redefine the modern reality television genre.
As her popularity grew, Kim maintained an official blog where she discussed:
- Television appearances
- Music projects
- Public appearances
- Celebrity events
- Personal opinions
- Fan questions
- Fashion
- Beauty products
- Family life
- Media rumors
At the time, celebrity blogs represented one of the primary ways stars communicated directly with their audiences. Twitter was still in its infancy, Facebook pages were relatively new, and Instagram would not launch until 2010.
KimZolciakOnline.com captured this early style of online celebrity communication, allowing readers to experience posts exactly as fans originally encountered them in early 2009.
The 2009 Shutdown
One of the site's most interesting chapters occurred in February 2009.
Visitors arriving at the blog suddenly encountered a brief notice announcing that the site had become inactive because of non-payment. The unexpected message quickly attracted attention because it appeared on the official blog of one of reality television's fastest-rising personalities.
Entertainment websites rapidly picked up the story, most notably Gawker, which reported that the site had effectively been taken offline after a dispute involving payment for web services. The incident became part of the ongoing public fascination surrounding Kim Zolciak's career during the explosive early years of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Shortly afterward, Kim's blogging activities moved elsewhere, leaving the original site offline.
Without later preservation efforts, much of this material would likely have disappeared permanently.
Restoration Through Web Archiving
The current version of KimZolciakOnline.com is not simply an old website that remained online.
Instead, it represents a restoration project.
According to the site's own description, archived copies of the original blog were recovered through web archiving efforts and reconstructed so visitors could once again browse portions of the original content. The restoration also credits technical contributors and organizations involved in preserving culturally significant websites.
This places the website into an increasingly important category of digital preservation.
Just as libraries preserve newspapers, magazines, and books, web archives preserve websites that document specific moments in internet history.
KimZolciakOnline.com serves as an example of this practice by preserving a celebrity blog that otherwise would have existed only in scattered web caches and archived snapshots.
Ownership
Historically, the original blog represented Kim Zolciak's official online presence during the first years of her reality television career.
The restored website, however, clearly identifies itself as an archival project rather than an actively maintained celebrity website. It acknowledges that Kim herself may no longer manage the preserved content while emphasizing its value as a historical record.
The restoration credits individuals involved in rebuilding and optimizing the site, demonstrating that its current purpose is preservation rather than ongoing celebrity promotion.
Purpose and Goals
Today's KimZolciakOnline.com serves several important purposes.
First, it preserves content that disappeared after the original website became unavailable.
Second, it documents an important period in celebrity internet culture.
Third, it allows longtime fans to revisit posts published during the earliest seasons of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Finally, it provides researchers studying internet history, reality television, celebrity branding, and online communication with an authentic primary source from 2009.
Unlike modern celebrity websites designed around marketing and monetization, the restored site functions primarily as a historical archive.
Content Visitors Can Explore
The preserved posts reveal how Kim communicated with fans before today's social media ecosystem.
Topics include:
- Television production
- Recording music
- Red carpet appearances
- Interviews
- Public controversies
- Celebrity gossip
- Beauty routines
- Fashion
- Upcoming appearances
- Fan interactions
Readers can follow Kim's thoughts regarding recording sessions, media criticism, relationships with fellow cast members, and preparations for public events.
The conversational writing style creates an intimate feeling largely absent from polished celebrity websites today.
Coverage of Reality Television
One of the site's greatest historical values lies in its documentation of the first years of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The blog discusses:
- Filming Season Two
- Relationships with fellow cast members
- Fan reactions
- Public criticism
- Editing decisions
- Media interviews
These posts provide firsthand commentary from one of the show's central personalities during a period when the franchise was rapidly becoming a cultural phenomenon.
Today, Bravo's Housewives franchise spans numerous cities and international editions, making these early blog entries particularly valuable as historical documents.
Music Career Updates
Another recurring subject involves Kim's attempts to launch a music career.
Several archived posts discuss:
- Recording sessions
- Producers
- Creative disagreements
- Future releases
- Industry relationships
The blog openly addresses public criticism regarding her singing while expressing optimism about future recordings.
These entries illustrate how celebrity blogs allowed public figures to respond directly to criticism without relying on traditional media interviews.
Celebrity Appearances
Kim frequently documented appearances at high-profile entertainment events.
Archived posts describe:
- Golden Globe activities
- Television interviews
- Fashion choices
- Red carpet experiences
- Celebrity encounters
- Charity events
- Promotional appearances
These posts offer a behind-the-scenes perspective on celebrity life during the late 2000s and reflect the excitement surrounding reality television personalities entering mainstream entertainment.
Beauty and Fashion
Beauty recommendations became another recurring feature.
Examples include favorite:
- Foundation
- Mascara
- Lip gloss
- Bronzer
- Blush
- Makeup artists
- Fashion brands
These recommendations foreshadow today's influencer marketing, although they appeared years before beauty influencers dominated YouTube and Instagram.
The posts demonstrate how reality stars were already influencing consumer purchasing decisions before the term "influencer" became common.
Audience
The website primarily appeals to several groups.
Longtime Bravo viewers revisit the blog to relive the early years of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Fans of Kim Zolciak gain access to original posts no longer available elsewhere.
Researchers studying celebrity culture, reality television, or internet history benefit from authentic archived material.
Finally, web preservation enthusiasts appreciate the site's role in demonstrating how digital history can be reconstructed after original websites disappear.
Popularity
Although KimZolciakOnline.com is not a major commercial website today, its significance stems less from current traffic than from historical importance.
When the original blog was active, Kim Zolciak ranked among Bravo's most discussed personalities.
Media outlets frequently covered her:
- Relationships
- Music ambitions
- Television appearances
- Public feuds
- Fashion
- Personal life
The temporary disappearance of her blog generated sufficient attention to become entertainment news itself, illustrating the importance celebrity websites had during that period.
Geographic Connections
The website is closely associated with metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia.
Many archived posts reference locations including:
- Buckhead
- Midtown Atlanta
- Television studios
- Celebrity events
- Local entertainment venues
These locations reflect Kim's public life during the filming of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The blog also documents travel to destinations including Los Angeles, Park City, Utah, and Hollywood for award shows and entertainment events.
Site Organization
The restored website maintains the straightforward organization typical of late-2000s blogging platforms.
Visitors generally encounter:
- Reverse chronological blog entries
- Archived posts
- Personal updates
- Photographs
- Celebrity news
- Comments
- Beauty recommendations
Rather than emphasizing sophisticated navigation, the site recreates the original blogging experience.
Press and Media Coverage
Kim Zolciak consistently attracted extensive entertainment media attention during this period.
Topics discussed on the blog often corresponded with coverage by:
- Bravo
- Entertainment television
- Celebrity magazines
- Gossip websites
- Local Atlanta media
- Television interview programs
The blog itself frequently responded to stories appearing elsewhere, giving readers Kim's perspective rather than relying solely on media reporting.
This direct communication represented one of the principal advantages of celebrity blogging before widespread social media adoption.
Cultural Significance
KimZolciakOnline.com occupies an interesting place in internet history.
It captures the transition between traditional celebrity publicity and today's social media environment.
Unlike modern influencers posting dozens of updates each day, celebrities in 2009 often relied upon personal blogs as their primary direct communication channel.
Consequently, preserved blogs like this one document an important stage in digital communication.
The website also reflects the rapid rise of reality television as a dominant force in popular culture.
Programs such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta changed how audiences engaged with celebrities, while blogs helped maintain those relationships between television episodes.
Reviews and Public Reception
There are relatively few formal reviews of KimZolciakOnline.com as a website because its value lies primarily in historical preservation rather than commercial services.
Among fans, however, restored archival websites often receive appreciation because they recover content thought to be permanently lost.
Researchers similarly recognize the importance of preserving internet history, particularly materials documenting popular culture that might otherwise disappear.
Awards
There is no evidence that KimZolciakOnline.com itself has received formal website awards.
Its significance instead derives from preserving historically interesting content related to one of Bravo's most recognizable reality television personalities.
Likewise, while the restored site references preservation efforts, there is no independent confirmation of formal archival awards beyond the descriptions provided on the website itself.
Digital Preservation Value
Perhaps the website's greatest contribution is demonstrating why internet preservation matters.
Millions of websites disappear every year.
When celebrity blogs vanish, they often take with them unique firsthand accounts unavailable anywhere else.
KimZolciakOnline.com illustrates how archived copies can preserve:
- Popular culture
- Entertainment history
- Celebrity communication
- Web design
- Internet writing styles
- Fan engagement
Future historians examining reality television, celebrity branding, or early social media development may find websites like this surprisingly valuable.
Legacy
Although Kim Zolciak's online presence has evolved through newer websites and social media platforms, KimZolciakOnline.com remains a fascinating time capsule.
It preserves an authentic voice from the earliest years of reality television's expansion into mainstream entertainment.
For longtime fans, it offers nostalgia.
For historians, it preserves primary source material.
For web preservation advocates, it demonstrates why archiving matters.
Most importantly, it reminds visitors that the internet is far more fragile than many people assume. Without deliberate preservation efforts, entire chapters of digital culture—including celebrity blogs that once attracted thousands of daily readers—can disappear almost overnight.
KimZolciakOnline.com succeeds because it transforms what could have become a forgotten website into a lasting historical record of early reality television, celebrity blogging, and the rapidly evolving internet culture of the late 2000s.
